Over the weekend I became a foster mom to this beautiful boy. He will be three on Thanksgiving day and I think adoption is in our future. He is a wonderful bully who has an annoying tendency of biting when he does not want to be messed with. So far he has nipped my hand and my husbands, nothing serious but it was serious for his previous owner who were going to have him put down last week. He is a smart guy, he sits, lays down, drops things, fetches, walks well on a leash, loves people and is good with other dogs. Our cat loves him as he did our previous bullies.
Life is always so good with a (bull)dog around.

oh, he looks like a rolling ball of fun, he does! enjoy him.
Look at that face! How could you not love a face like THAT?? Congratulations.
What a beautiful boy!! I am so happy for you. And I couldn't agree more, life is so much better with a bully around.
He looks like a badass..with a heart of gold. He probably just needs some training.
Aw, he's a cutie!
I'm glad that you are fostering him. Hope that he decides not to nip. That isn't a good thing.
Y'all are precious! so is your new puppy!
good lord what a FACE that one has on it.! nipping... hummmm.. where is cesar milan when we need him??. i suppose nipping can turn into biting.. that dude may need a reminder of who's in charge! YOU (don't forget that!!).. there may be a dog behavioral type person around you could consult with. maybe your vet could recommend someone. so long as he's never broken skin, shouldn't be problem.
good luck with new pup!
Hehe I love that second photo - he looks like a small boy ready to do some mischief. Best of luck with your new addition.
Hopefully he'll learn to 'play nice'. It's so sad when animals are put down...breaks my heart.
Well Cat, I can’t see you NOT being his full time mom forever (meaning you will adopt him). Animals are put onto our lives for a reason. I think it’s because they teach us lessons in humanity.
We can learn a thing or two from them… except for the biting part.
Very cute....hate the biting though. Hopefully you'll cure him of that.
oh good grief, I wouldn't stand a chance either!
Oh I love dogs cat, I have got two Rosie and Bodie, Rosie is a 7 yr old lab x and bodie is a little thing.
They are both great companions but its Rosie who I have had the longest who I am closest to, we shared so much right back into my drinking career where she was my companion in the woods.
Dogs are the ultimate companions
OMG Cat his is so freaking cute! play fetch with him for me! make sure he gets his run in too! i would be stuck cause i see those eyes and i would melt and let him eat whatever he wanted in our house!
Awww! Look at that face!
You can't fight love. He TRULY is a very handsome guy.
I can relate to his issue of not wanting to be messed with - I've been known to nip as well.
Could be alot of reasons for that; anxiety, insecurity, mixed messages, or maybe, he's just gotten away with it in the past?
I'm sure you'll get him through it, love covers a multitude of sins.

There's nothing like the love of a pet.
I don't know if you are aware of Bach Flower essence Remedies or not. They are used for people and pets. It can help tremendously with releasing emotional issues. I've used it for my naturally timid and fearful rat terrier. It's worked wonders.
He is just beautiful. I love bullies. They're just so adorable.
