Do Not Disturb

There was a knock at the door that shook the world. The room where I sat remained quiet as I waited in the leather Ottoman; my feet tucked under me Indian-style. I was totally absorbed; not wanting to put the book down, not wanting to lose my place, not wanting to come back to reality.

Interested in giving this a try? Write a story in 55 words and then let G-Man know about it!

I LOVE getting that lost in a book.

The quality of these "55"s is just getting better with each week. Love it, and they ARE 'short reads' -grin!

Cat, you're good! Still!

Totally freaken enjoy these. I'm wondering just how much work and strain goes into writing these because your's seem seamless, natural.

Now, if only you could sleep as deeply as you read! Ha ha. Thanks for calling me brilliant for making and eating junk food. You are too kind Cat, really.

I have to hide from the monkeys when I am reading a book, but somehow they always seem to find me. I dread that knock at the door! I feel ya on this one!

YES!!!!!

I have a bookmark that says "Sssshhhhhh! Can't you see I'm reading!"

Btw, I'm so impressed with you ability to do the 55. My verbosity precludes any attempt to make my thoughts into any less than 140 characters. Even then I struggle. =)
